India Shines out in Oscars

Slumdog Millionaire won eight World’s most prestigious Oscar awards. Voyage of awards begins with Four Golden Globe Awards then Seven BAFTA and finally eight esteemed Oscar awards. Slumdog truly stroke the peak of international cinema. Two awards are won by our great music scorer, A R Rahman. Other two Indians who made us proud are Gulzar, the lyricist of the best song award and other one is Resul Pookutty for best Sound mixing.

In A R Rahman’s speech he recalls the famous dialogue from film Deewar, by saying “mere paas maa hai” (With my mother’s blessings by my side). Also he pleasures everyone through his speech; he further added I have always preferred the way on love in life. He expressed thanks to god for all his blessings on him. By winning two awards in Oscars, Rahman proved that he is a sovereign of fusion music. This victory of Rahman made India and all Indians proud at world’s podium. A R Rahman truly comes out as representative of India on this victory. He actually created history for India. Indian music lovers are always fan of A R Rahman since his first film as music director, "Roja". Slumdog proved globally that even music can play a significant component in defining the story of a film. This is a victory of Indian music internationally.

With the presence of lots of Indian in Oscar’s ceremony, it emerges as our own nation event. Slumdog Millionaire provides a booming entry of Indian Cinema at International level. Earlier also Indian based film "Gandhi" bagged Eight Oscars, but at that time India was not in the focus frame of appreciation. Slumdog provided a huge platform for Indian cinema and Indian actors internationally. To receive the best film award each and every actor of the film got on the stage for the honor, this marked the presence of India globally.
We Indians really hope to receive lots more appreciation of our art and culture globally, this is just a beginning of our journey.
